DOWNLOAD AND EVALUATE LIFELONG PHR™

Medicine is becoming more and more personalized. Since the human genome was decoded, genetics has become an increasing factor in matching treatments with individual attributes for successful outcomes. We believe that this will grow in importance, and Lifelong PHR will help in managing personalized care.

INSTRUCTION HIGHLIGHTS

Step 1 - Remove any Lifelong PHR software already on your computer. Go to your Windows Control Panel (from the START button). Click on Add/Remove Programs. Highlight the line for Lifelong PHR and click on REMOVE.

Step 2 - Download and Install Lifelong PHR. Please be patient and do not be alarmed by occasional blank screens. The first time a version of Lifelong PHR is installed, the program may need to update your operating environment.

Step 3 - When Installation Finishes, Start Lifelong PHR. Double-Click the Lifelong PHR Icon on your desktop. Should you not find one, please Go to START, then ALL PROGRAMS and LIFELONG PERSONAL HEALTH RECORDS and select LIFELONG PHR. You may want to Right-Click on LIFELONG PHR and create a shortcut that can be dragged and dropped on the computer's desktop.

Step 4 - Log in and use the program. Log in using "IDMS" and "database" for the password. They are case sensitive. Please note that evaluation software will only be usable for a limited period of time. The current expiration date is October 30, 2010.

HELPFUL HINTS

Back Up Lifelong PHR Data - You will not be able to install new Lifelong software if you already have a version of it on your computer. The installation software will tell you to uninstall it. Before doing so, be sure to save a backup copy of any Lifelong PHR data that you have created. Then you will be able to reuse your data. Otherwise, uninstalling the program also deletes previous data.

Close Open Applications During Installation - Avoid unnecessary demands on your computer until Lifelong PHR is operational. Sometimes it may be necessary to temporarily disable anti-virus software and firewalls. However, we recommend that security NOT be disabled unless absolutely necessary. Our experience does indicate that you will need to disable Norton Internet Security 2010. Be sure to turn it back on when your installation has completed.

Save your Download before running (installing) it. This way any problems with Internet connections will not adversely affect the installation process unless your computer needs system updates from Microsoft or other vendors. These will be automatically located and installed for you.

Do a little bit at a time. Creating a health record is a gradual process. You are likely to think of things to add when you receive regular reminders. Perusing old records is a good example and a good place to start. You will also get ideas from the growing volume of health related information available through the media and Internet. We have been contributing white papers on the subject, too. One in particular should help you get started.
